FC Athletico vs. Ballistic U16. Won 6 – 0.
April 15th, 2008
This was to be an interesting game from the start due to the fact that half of FC Athletico played for the Ballistic squad in years past. How would the team compete against their old squad?
Within minutes of the start, FCA showed their dominance by controlling the midfield while playing a 5-3-2 formation. Then, roughly 5 minutes into the first half, coach Meyer changed the formation to a 4-4-2 and the fun began.
In the second half, center midfielder Josh Borland replaced goalie Saul Salmeron in the box to allow Salmeron some field time. This change resulted in a goal for Salmeron.
The entire team played as a cohesive unit for the entire 70 minutes of regulation time with the end result a 6-0 win.
